Christian Science Nursing: How very special it is! So grateful Mrs. Eddy provided for Christian Science nurses in the Church Manual.
Christian Science nurses are so willing to nurse every situation with the presence and power of the Christ. Not only do they care for the individual but also the environment in which the client lives. This may include providing nursing supplies and equipment, purchasing, and preparing food, finding solutions to nursing needs and so much more. Their cheerful willingness to help in any way they can is so reassuring and healing.
They are indeed comforters of “Christlike touch”.
Ask God to give thee skill
In comfort’s art:
That thou may’st consecrated be
And set apart
Unto a life of sympathy.
For heavy is the weight of ill
In every heart;
And comforters are needed much
Of Christlike touch.
