Christian Science nurses are available to foster a healing atmosphere and provide skilled practical care to anyone relying on Christian Science for healing. They are an active support for spiritual healing, and are not medical nurses. They are students of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Our practice is grounded firmly in the theology of Christian Science.

Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded Christian Science, defined Christian Science as “the law of God, the law of good…” (Rudimental Divine Science p.1). She had learned that God is infinite Love, and completely good. A clear glimpse of this, through prayer, has power to heal and transform anyone. The Canadian Christian Science Nursing Association (CCSNA) is comprised of both experienced and new Christian Science nurses, serving independently or within a facility setting. See the Christian Science Journal for a listing of Christian Science nurses in your area.

The CCSNA was formed to support Christian Science nurses serving their Church communities, and to provide a platform for communication regarding availability, education, recruitment, and retention of Christian Science nurses in Canada. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE NURSING FEES and Financial Assistance

Many Christian Science nurses have an independent ministry in Canada. Others are employees of Wayside House or the Vancouver Christian Science Nursing Service. Fees are set individually and are based on prayerful consideration of their level of experience, training and availability. Christian Science nurses will be happy to discuss their fee schedule with you.

Never hesitate to reach out to a Christian Science nurse because of financial concern. There are options for assistance with Christian Science practitioner and Christian Science nursing costs available, if needed.
