PRIVATE DUTY / INDEPENDENT Journal Listed Christian Science Nurse
or Active Christian Science Nurse Trainee 
“… the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37, 38)

Who: The individual will be an experienced Journal-listed Christian Science nurse  or an active trainee demonstrating and developing their own private duty ministry. A self-employed contractor.

What: The candidate will be prepared to respond to Christian Science nursing calls in-home and will be available to travel.

Where: The private duty Christian Science Nursing ministry is anchored within their own church community or may work with several church communities to travel to nurse, prioritizing mid to eCanada provinces.

When: If you are feeling  called to begin training  and grow your private duty practice, we can help! There is an immediate need in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta.

Support System: Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.

Also, your Branch Church; the CCSNA for training, mentoring, some financial and collegial support; CSNBF for invoice payment assurance; possible income stipend from existing Christian Science Nurse charitable funders.

This particular type of ministry requires a move from trustfulness to trustworthiness, relying on divine Love to meet your every need. The Mother Church ByLaw standard must be upheld and “by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:20)

Representing The Mother Church in this capacity gives ample opportunity to hone one’s “demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science  practice.”  (Art VIII Sect 31)

Part-time Office Assistant

Wayside House is looking for a part-time Office Assistant 2-3 days per week to the assist the Managing Director.  Preference is given to a class taught Christian Scientist.  

The Assistant attends board meeting, takes minutes, files, communicates on behalf of the organization, organizes, prepares notices, and manuals.  Additional duties are preparing newsletter, organizing events, advertising and social media . 

The position requires: 

  • Proficiency in MS word, Excel, Social Media.
