CCSNA March 2026 Newsletter

“Human hope and faith should join in nature’s grand harmony, and, if on minor key, make music in the heart. And man, more friendly, should call his race as gently to the springtide of Christ’s dear love.”
(Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 330:7–10)

Dear Church Friends,

With the dawn of spring upon us we are reminded to always be grateful for the spiritual light constantly received from our faithful adherence to Christian Science teachings. CCSNA continues to “work, watch and pray” — spiritual activities deserving our equal attention.

Specific to Christian Science nursing, there are significant changes occurring which affect expectations and outcomes, including: training; levels and standards; limited training accessibility and availability; present supply/demand issues; and proper “representation” of the Manual by-law “Christian Science nurse.” If your Church wishes to hear more details about these changes, please call our toll free number or email us and we will be happy to speak about this and our future vision.

We have had a fruitful Fall and Winter season. On November 30, 2025 CCSNA hosted a Zoom gathering to share inspiration from our Leader’s Christmas Messages. We are grateful for the good attendance from coast to coast and all who shared their insights giving a warmer glow to the Christmas season.

In February 2026 we gathered Canadian Journal-listed Christian Science Practitioners and Christian Science nurses via Zoom. Together we considered how we can best support members’ reliance on Christian Science healing. Again, ideas and Christian Science articles were shared and we left with a unity of purpose.

In between these fruitful gatherings there were meetings, calls and much prayerful work.
We thank you all for your metaphysical and practical support for the past 8 years of CCSNA’s existence. Christian Science nursing is a necessity to our Movement. If you wish to hear a more detailed account of the changes facing us today and our vision for the future, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. [Subsequent to publishing this Newsletter we’ve added more information about current changes on our FAQ page.]

With Christ’s light and love,

The Canadian Christian Science Nursing Association
